BACKGROUND
An end-to-end project during my job @Zelthy in Bangalore, India
This project was done at Zelthy- a startup that specializes in building enterprise healthcare applications. My role was of a product designer and some tasks I did included, coordinating with developers and project management team for product alignment, designing the features of the application and visual design of the interface.
BRIEF
Delivering critical medicine for long treatment plans
THE SCOPE
We designed the
product ecosystem
from supply-chain
dashboard to customer signup and onboarding
WE NEEDED TO DESIGN
Patient login and digitally verifying the identity of the patient with specific program requirements. Uploading sensitive documents and caregiver details.
Onboarding a healthcare professional onto the app. Patient's view for the healthcare professional and inviting a patient onto the program.
The medicines being delivered need to be verified and we needed to ensure that the delivery executive and the customer could ensure that the right medicine was being delivered.
Product tracking dashboard for internal executives, creating a detailed view and custom tables.
PATIENT'S APP
Digital patient verification
Patient's order history and program progress tracking
The brief: Making the document verification process transparent and accurately collecting information
The organization needed a way to verify patient information and documents to meet compliance requirements. I designed a task feature as part of the sign-up process, where patients could upload their documents and wait for verification.
DELIVERY TEAM'S TRACK AND TRACE FEATURE
Delivery executive's orders list
Scanning and confirming vial
The brief: Ensuring the delivered vial matched the one displayed in the patient’s app was crucial
We designed a straightforward interface for delivery executives to scan delivered vials and ensure the scanned number matched the system. The design was kept minimal, with clear and simple error messages to guide the delivery executives.
PRODUCT DASHBOARD
The brief: How do we make it easy for teams to sift through the large inventory with multiple parameters
The executives needed operational visibility and the main use cases for this were to quickly sort through the data and create a monthly report and bulk approve orders.
After many iterations we redesigned tables to have quick filters that allow the user to quickly sort through data.
IMPACT
Increased operational visibility for the organization
Over 99% delivery accuracy reached
LEARNING
Sometimes you need to step back and look at your designs with fresh eyes. Focusing too much on the details can make you lose sight of the bigger picture, while staying too high-level can make you never deliver the required design.
A big lesson I’ve learned is how important it is to keep your team in the loop when managing multiple projects. Being open about priorities, progress, and any roadblocks helps everyone stay on the same page.
